Misallocation of Capital After 10 Years of Running the Printing Presses

Session Speakers
Session Description

Why attend:
Discover how the last decade’s unprecedented infusion of liquidity has led to misallocation of capital, and examine the threats this poses to the global economy and capital markets.

Session details:
In response to the financial crisis, the world’s leading central banks performed an unprecedented monetary experiment, injecting tremendous liquidity into the markets. This experiment led to misallocations, distortions, and excesses, the greatest of which have affected valuations and created pinch-points in liquidity. A subject-matter expert will discuss areas of heightened risk to avoid and corresponding areas of relative strength, explore the risks and opportunities in global investing, and assess the readiness and policy ammunition available to authorities to deal with economic downturn and manage economic shocks.

This 30-minute session is scheduled to take place on The Exchange showcase stage. After the session, continue the conversation by visiting our booth in The Exchange.

Seating for this session is at capacity, however standing room is still available.
